Sr. Category Manager

Fast growing, nationally known foods manufacturer , headquarters in Dallas TX, is looking for a qualified candidate to establish Category Manager disciplines. Reporting to CMO, this analytic senior manager will be responsible for developing innovative retailer solutions based on consumer insights to drive company goals and objectives.

Accountabilities/Responsibilities:
? Establish base line reporting standard for sales and marketing organization
? Establish procedures for gathering and evaluating sales, competitive and category data.
? Provide the Sales and Marketing Team with sales data, analysis and recommendations that will guide and facilitate sales efforts.
? Create disciples around store schematics/modulars, fact based Fair Share Space Analysis.
? Responsible for developing, maintaining and managing companies analytics, utilizing a variety of data resources
? Partner with sales teams to proactively and creatively developing category analytics to support local sales team.
? Accountable for driving goals and objectives across all businesses through direction of team and development of relationships and programs.

.Requirements:
? Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
? 10 years of CPG industry experience, category management, sales planning and/or finance and customer insights experience.
? Food/beverage industry preferred
? 5 years of Category Management Best Practices experience.
? An experienced manager, having direct reports in category management preferred
? Competencies in, MS Office applications with emphasis in Excel and Access.
? Strong analytical skills and strong communication skills.
? Expertise with AC Nielsen, IRI, data warehouse/manipulation systems, Spectra and space management concepts and software.
